Join Sharmila and Rashmi for a fascinating history of spices and the spice trade. Learn how to make a curry spice blend, and explore the individual spices within the blend. Sample a few dishes with spice blends, and visit the spices aisle of the store for a brief orientation. You’ll take home a jar of curry spice blend plus recipes for more blends.

Sharmila Sachdev is a resident of Princeton, an educator, a mom of three and a Suppers advocate. Her multi-cultural background has exposed her to a myriad of flavor profiles which she enjoys integrating into healthy and tasty dishes.

Rashmi Agrawal is an avid vegetable gardener. She loves cooking from scratch using fresh organic ingredients. Born and raised in India (Mumbai), she instinctively uses spices in everyday meals. She moved to the US 20 years ago, worked as an IT engineer, got her MBA in Finance, and worked on Wall Street before settling down as a home maker.
