In this Webinar you will learn how to preserve the bountiful harvest from our local farms & land, led by Master Food Preserver Kim Rizk, Co-Founder & Owner of Jammin’ Crepes

Kim will demonstrate fun and fast ways to preserve the harvest. Kim Rizk completed her Master Food Preserver certification from Cornell’s Agricultural Cooperative Extension and will introduce you to preserving techniques that range from lacto-fermentation and quick pickling to hot water bath canning.

“What we know and believe is that whatever is freshest is usually the most flavorful, nutritious and bountiful. As there is only so much of each crop that we can cook and enjoy during its season, preserving is a way to keep the bounty of available produce” says Kim. In this webinar we will work to demonstrate and understand the best preservation methods for a few spring crops. We will be working with carrots, zucchini and turnips.
